The 2015 Mazda5’s Small Minivan Sizing with Plenty to Offer

Want three-row seating but don’t require all the space and amenities of a full-size minivan? For a small family hauler that offers sharp handling and plenty of storage and cargo space, check out the 2015 Mazda5.

Safe and Sound:
Mazda ensures you and your family are as safe as possible on the road with solid safety equipment and features. Standard on all 2015 Mazda5s, you’ll find: stability and traction control, antilock disc brakes, front side airbags and full-length side curtain airbags. Also available is a rearview camera, blind-spot warning system and forward-collision warning system.

More Worthwhile Sizing: While some minivans can be hard to maneuver and park due to their excessive size, the Mazda5 solves that problem with a down-sized version. While it only seats six, the Mazda5 is perfect for smaller families, still providing adequate passenger and cargo space. With third-row seats folded down, the Mazda 5 provides 44.4 cubic feet of cargo capacity – an excellent number for a vehicle of its smaller proportions.

It may be smaller than the average minivan, but the Mazda5’s interior offers plenty of versatility. Second-row captain’s chairs slide and recline for increased space and comfort. One cool feature is the passenger-seat, which features a fold-out center table/storage net that snaps into place between seats. Consumers will also enjoy easy-access third-row seating.

Other key features in the Mazda5, include: lightweight sliding rear doors, handy storage cubbies and the best perk of all, it’s fun to drive due to sport suspension and steering tuning, which the Mazda brand is so well-known and loved for.

Fully-Loaded 2015 Lineup: The Mazda5’s 2015 lineup shows off three fully-loaded trims. To make finding the right choice easier, here’s a peek at each.

The entry-level Sport trim comes standard with 16-inch alloy wheels, full power accessories, keyless entry, cruise control and height-adjustable driver seat. Passenger comfort is increased with automatic climate control that includes rear vents and fan controls. It also houses a six-speaker sound system with CD player, USB port and auxiliary audio jack.

Choosing the mid-level Touring means more added features, such as fog lights, rear parking sensors, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, plus rear spoiler. Wheels increase to 17-inch alloy. Electronics gain Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity and a trip computer.

The Grand Touring boasts the most upscale content, from automatic xenon headlights and heated mirrors to automatic wipers, heated front seats and leather upholstery. It also gains a sunroof and satellite radio.

Looking for extra options for a more personalized ride? The Mazda5 offers some stand-alone items, such as remote ignition and auto-dimming rearview mirror. Families will definitely enjoy the optional rear-seat DVD entertainment system.
